Everything you create or acquire begins in the form of desire.
In order to act, you must have a purpose. If you want to act successfully in all but the most mundane affairs, you must embrace that purpose with a burning desire. Many people think they want to be successful, but since they do not back that thought with an intense drive, they never achieve success. Cultivate your desire. Feed it with thoughts of yourself enjoying whatever it is you seek. It’s like stoking the furnace of a steam engine. You need to build up enough pressure to carry yourself over hills; if your desire doesn’t burn hotly enough, you’ll find yourself stalled and rolling backwards. The secret to action is a red-hot desire. Napoleon Hill
Continue to Serve
If you have started your new business relationship with a service attitude to another person, you must continue and should never expect anything back!
A concept of give all and you shall receive more, but be careful and smart. Protecting yourself against those that are not genuine. You can give in abundance; referrals, information, kindness and friendship something you will never run out of.
You will meet someone and make a great connection, initially and would like to keep the relationship moving forward. What to give them in value and meaning without giving away too much information at the start.
- Relevant information to what the business is
- Introduce them to people they want to meet and those they need to be introduced to, this is the only way to build confidence and relationships if you intend to progress
- Invite them to networking meetings, they perhaps did not know existed
- Your presence at the event, it is a know fact that a friendly face is worth a thousand prospects!
- You must show attention to those around you, a rare commodity but very valuable to those who receive it.
Introductions
This is an area that needs thought, as there are two areas of introduction in “Network Marketing” : Introducing yourself to someone you do not know and introduction of another person to someone they do not know. This causes problems in relationships by being slow to start and by being unsure of either way.
Success is by attending the right kind of events “Like Minded People” This builds up confidence in your self introduction, it is bound to be more welcome! But you have to wait for the right moment and never interrupt and speak clearly and let them know why you wish to meet them. You may have a mutual friend or you enjoyed their presentation, of course always thank the person who actually made the presentation!
This would be the perfect opportunity to promote yourself and “Service” not a “Sales Pitch as you will lose them.
Finally your basic business etiquette skills should as said above having the ability to introduce two people, speak clearly, but most of all remember the names of those you are talking with! Thus leading the way for you to give the reasons why you thought they should meet with you, by starting with something in common like their job what is it or start a conversation about general topics
Good intentions are useless until they are expressed in appropriate action.
Good intentions may be an appropriate starting point for achievement, but they will go nowhere unless you follow through with action. Many people confuse intentions with achievement; after all, it is the idea that is most important, they reason. In reality, the most mediocre idea acted upon is far more valuable than a flash of genius that resides only in your mind. Developing the habit of action may be difficult at first, but the more you practice it, the easier it becomes. Napoleon Hill
