Network Marketing What is it Part Five

imageEverything you create or acquire begins in the form of desire.
In order to act, you must have a purpose. If you want to act successfully in all but the most mundane affairs, you must embrace that purpose with a burning desire. Many people think they want to be successful, but since they do not back that thought with an intense drive, they never achieve success. Cultivate your desire. Feed it with thoughts of yourself enjoying whatever it is you seek. It’s like stoking the furnace of a steam engine. You need to build up enough pressure to carry yourself over hills; if your desire doesn’t burn hotly enough, you’ll find yourself stalled and rolling backwards. The secret to action is a red-hot desire.
Napoleon Hill

Continue to Serve

If you have started your new business relationship with a service attitude to another person, you must continue and should never expect anything back!

A concept of give all and you shall receive more, but be careful and smart. Protecting yourself against those that are not genuine.  You can give in abundance; referrals, information, kindness and friendship something you will never run out of.

What to giveimage

You will meet someone and make a great connection, initially and would like to keep the relationship moving forward. What to give them in value and meaning without giving away too much information at the start.

  • Relevant information to what the business is
  • Introduce them to people they want to meet and those they need to be introduced to, this is the only way to build confidence and relationships if you intend to progress
  • Invite them to networking meetings, they perhaps did not know existed
  • Your presence at the event, it is a know fact that a friendly face is worth a thousand prospects!
  • You must show attention to those around you, a rare commodity but very valuable to those who receive it.

Introductions

This is an area that needs thought, as there are two areas of introduction in “Network Marketing” : Introducing yourself to someone you do  not know and introduction of another person to someone they do not know.  This causes  problems in relationships by being slow to start and by being unsure of either way.

Success is by attending the right  kind of events “Like Minded People”  This builds up confidence in your self introduction, it is bound to be more welcome!   But you have to wait for the right moment and never interrupt and speak clearly and let them know why you wish to meet them.  You may have a mutual friend or you enjoyed their presentation, of course always thank the person who actually made the presentation!

This would be the perfect opportunity to promote yourself  and “Service” not a  “Sales Pitch   as you will lose them.

imageFinally your basic business etiquette skills should as said above having the ability to introduce two people, speak clearly, but most of all remember the names of those you are talking with!  Thus leading the way for you to give the reasons why you thought they should meet with you, by starting with something in common like their job what is it or start a conversation about general topics

Good intentions are useless until they are expressed in appropriate action.
Good intentions may be an appropriate starting point for achievement, but they will go nowhere unless you follow through with action. Many people confuse intentions with achievement; after all, it is the idea that is most important, they reason. In reality, the most mediocre idea acted upon is far more valuable than a flash of genius that resides only in your mind. Developing the habit of action may be difficult at first, but the more you practice it, the easier it becomes. Napoleon Hill

If we're really committed to growth, we never stop discovering new dimensions of self and self-expression.” Oprah

Network Marketing What is It Part Four

The Greeting
Giving opens up the door to receiving. You have so many opportunities to give every day.
Give kind words. Give a smile. Give appreciation and love. Give compliments. You can give courtesy to other motorists while you are driving. You can give a smile to the car parking attendant. You can give a warm greeting to the newspaper stand person or the person who makes your coffee. You can give by allowing a stranger to go ahead of you into an elevator, and you can give by asking which floor they are going to and pressing the button for them. If someone drops something you can give a helping hand and pick it up for them. You can give warm embraces to those you love. And you can give appreciation and encouragement to everyone.
There are so many opportunities for you to give and thereby open the door to receiving.

May the joy be with you,   Rhonda Byrne

The best Net workers build there relationships as an attitude of service by providing what the contacts need,  not what the net worker needs it takes time to get to know someone well enough to provide them with some of the best information and opportunity, if your business has items to give away for a taster then do so, but it is not necessary otherwise the prospect will think they have to do the same.
What you can give some one on the first meeting is the confidence you show by building a reputation of trust and service. The one thing not to give is “Advice” because no one wants advice, not even if they appear to be asking for advice.  Never offer an invitation to your product pitch seminar, unless they ask!
Look for an immediate opportunity to give something:
  • A compliment
  • Possibility of a free sample (remember this is not a must)
  • Information about the meeting or organisation they are in if they are new.
  • Introduction to someone they wish to meet that you know
  • Invitation to the next meeting or event that suits their goals
  • A follow up is a must either by email, phone or a social site

Give them comfort
The quickest way to make a friend is to help someone feel welcome.  If you see someone at an event that looks decidedly uncomfortable, introduce yourself and  include them in your conversation, it works wonders and can be your first lead and you don't even know it!  Feelings of belonging is  a basic human need.  The fear of not belonging is what keeps many people from networking, be warned.  Can you imagine how many people have never retuned because of not being accepted?  Offer a friendly hand to bring them in, it helps break the ice thus makes them feel wonderful by being included.

Give & take
Strong relationships are built by giving to others. As you continue to give the long term will offer you a return on investment. Do not expect to get back exactly the same response immediately, as giving to someone else and not expecting a return means you are networking and not bargaining or selling!  There is a difference and remember  networking is not selling..
Giving and not expecting something back, will ensure you will receive in return what you desire. This will have a knock on effect as others who will do the same, surprisingly enough as this is done you will find that someone else will want to do business with you and you have not even spoken to that person!

Enjoy the unexpected direction that the fruits of your networking will bring.

Continue to Serve” will follow

Networking What is it Part Three

Your life is a learning process - you can only become wiser from learning. Sometimes you might have to attract making a painful mistake to learn something important, but after the mistake you have far greater wisdom. Wisdom cannot be bought with money - it can only be acquired through living life. With wisdom comes: strength, courage, knowing, and an ever-increasing peace.

May the joy be with you,     Rhonda Byrne

Strategy

If you had unlimited time,  energy and resources, you could networkimage  everywhere ALL the time!.  But we have finite amounts of time, energy and resources, so you need to be strategic in what you do and about networking.  Plan: What you want to do, where to go, who to meet and time, this last investment is most important as you use a high percentage building relationships

You do not need to take valuable time in creating a written plan!  Check your thoughts on: Does your schedule dictate when you can work? do you need specific time for an event and who are you targeting? IF you can answer all of these questions answers will follow.

Events

Where two or more people actively  meet, to create develope and expand relationships and can be trade shows, receptions, lunches and even one on one coffee meetings.  Imagine if you had a meeting one a week  with just one person that could be a  potential  52 new contacts a year!

Plan Where to go

Finding networking opportunities takes time, planning and research, once you seek a venue research it via the members or host and learn more about the meeting. There are several ways to seek network marketing meetings;  The web b y putting in “Breakfast meetings” or “Business Clubs”“Chamber of Commerce” the list is endless.

Like Minded People

imageThe idea is to make networking enjoyable and of course productive with like minded people, who are there to build relationships thus making the event easier and relaxing.  This can only happen if you find out about the venue first and talk with a committee member, relationships start from that point!

The other thing to consider is the cost of the venue, some are free, those that cost do provide food of some level.  This you must consider but usually they are worth it.  Free event are a good start, as the worry of expenditure is reduced, so you can leave at anytime if it is not for you, the only thing you would have lost is a little time. Then build on this with fee paying opportunities and your confidence will grow.

Paid networking does how ever offer a better return as these people are more likely to invest in themselves and are  a more specific group of people.

imageThe next level of people are going to be the “Tough To Reach Level”  meaning more time and more money.  These VIP level of contacts do meet a few network marketers along the way and set up barriers to reduce the approach level as they do get a lot of pitches due to their positions in industry.

The next will be “The Greeting”

Anyone can quit when the going is hard, but a thoroughbred never quits until he wins.

The going is always hard on the road to greatness. If success were easy, everyone would achieve it. NFL All-Pro lineman Brian Holloway recalled that when he was playing for the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Raiders, there wasn’t a single day when he didn’t feel like giving up because the road was too tough and the sacrifices were too great. He didn’t quit, of course; he was willing to pay the price because he was determined to succeed. True thoroughbreds never quit. Competition only spurs them, and obstacles merely reinforce their determination to succeed. If you have not yet achieved greatness in your life, it is because you have been willing to settle for less. You may not cross the finish line first every time you try, but if you stay in the race, you will eventually prevail. Napoleon Hill

Networking What is it? Part Two

You can do it if you believe you can.

It’s called a “self-fulfilling prophecy” when something occurs because we believe it will. The mind is constructed so that it constantly seeks to bring into physical reality the things it thinks about most. Most of us will never realize the tremendous potential we possess -- because we are unwilling to believe that we can accomplish things that others believe are impossible. “Impossible” jobs require more effort and greater concentration, but when they are completed, the rewards -- both financial and psychic -- are commensurate with the effort required. You may not be able to achieve everything you’d like, but you won’t accomplish anything unless you believe you can. - Napoleon Hill

Selling

The most damaging mind set you can have about networking is image“That I am going to sell! sell! sell! But that thought it must be removed from your mind! Why? because it is not selling as Networking can lead to sales, they should not be mixed.

Think Like a Networker NOT a Sales person

You will on a few occasions in your life, get the phone call from a friend or someone you know with a cold call sales pitch, at least you can hang up! It is harder when you meet someone face to face as they go straight into their sales pitch, calling it “Networking” often inviting you to an event! that is still cold calling but in person, it really is awkward, never never do this! It often shuts the door on future relationship's.  I am sure many have done this but more out of excitement than being pushy.  Never leave information unless! that person has asked for it.

Purpose

Networking is not selling, so what is it for? How do you know if you are wasting your time? Selling will turn people away and being pushy at networking events will make you appear desperate, of course you will make the odd sale but it is hard work and reduces your contacts as it will be passed around, making people keep away from you.  If you do not “Sell” those around you will feel more comfortable, relaxed and more trusting, This will lead to sales.  The sales will naturally come form networking as a bye product of your main goals.

Networking can:

  • Develope and maintain a positive image for you and your company.image
  • Increase your visibility thus keeps you top of peoples minds.
  • Build relationships with people in your industry and with potential clients and those that are seeking a business opportunity.
  • Generating referrals from those that now trust and like you.
  • Help you find prospective clients and business builders

All of these will lead to prospects, referrals and sales

 Feeling the Fear

It is no good waiting for fear to go away before staring to network, It will not go away Until you start networking, thus you will begin to enjoy the results. You will still feel the fear when you start, but you will begin to enjoy it before you realise.

What is it you are really afraid of? It is nothing physical but “Discomfort” feeling out of place feeling awkward or even worse being rejected.  We all need and have the basic human requirements wanting to feel included and being part of a group.  This is normal, after all we are human!

A successful networker ignores them on the route to creating  newimage and strong relationships.  Expand your comfort zone by starting small keeping in touch with colleagues and your sponsors for support help and advice, it works! Remember everyone feels nervous at some point in their networking career.  They still went on ahead reaching their goals following a system.

Strategy will follow in the next blog

Networking What is it? Part One

Drifting, without aim or purpose, is the first cause of failure.
Without a plan for your life, it is easier to follow the course of least resistance, to go with the flow, to drift with the current with no particular destination in mind. Having a definite plan for your life greatly simplifies the process of making hundreds of daily decisions that affect your ultimate success. When you know where you want to go, you can quickly decide if your actions are moving you toward your goal or away from it. Without definite, precise goals and a plan for their achievement, each decision must be considered in a vacuum. Definiteness of purpose provides context and allows you to relate specific actions to your overall plan. - Napoleon Hill

The books and recordings work wonders, but you need a “Coach & Mentor”  A Mentor with A Servant’s Heart!  who can relate and understand your Needs, Desires and ambitions.

To begin down load the “Success in 10 Steps” you will not regret this action,

Ask, Believe, Receive - just three simple steps to create what you want. However, very often the second step, believe, can be the most difficult one. And yet it is the greatest step you will ever take. When you master believing, you have mastered your life.

To master believing, all you have to do is tip the balance of your thoughts, words, and actions, from 'not believing' to believing. The ONLY thing that can ever get in the way of manifesting what you want, is having more thoughts of 'not believing', speaking more words of 'not believing', and taking more actions of 'not believing', than you are of believing. Base the majority of your thoughts, words, and actions in believing, and the law of attraction must obey you.

Believing contains no doubt. Believing does not waiver. Believing is absolute faith. Believing remains steadfast despite what is happening in the outside world.       Rhonda Byrne
